Hill Policies

  1. PETS: On leash in parking lot only. Not allowed in Lodge or on hill.
  2. DRONES: Must have pre-approval by President of the Lake Chelan Ski Club.
  3. HILL ACCESS: Access to Echo Valley’s property and/or leased land is allowed only when in operation, or during a sponsored event. Any other access including hiking, snowshoeing, sledding, etc. is not allowed.
  4. TICKET REFUNDS: All sales are final.
  5. SLEDDING ON HILL: Sledding is not allowed on any area of Echo Valley.
  6. MEDIC/FIRST AID: During season operation a qualified person will be assigned daily to this duty.
  7. MODIFICATION OF SLOPES (jumps): Modification of any designated run is not permissible.
  8. RV’s: Find previous policy.
  9. SKI SLOPE USE: Anyone using a designated run, lift, or tubing run must have a valid ticket or pass. (This includes uphill skiing)
  10. FREE PASSES: Board discretion
  11. BEHAVIORAL CONTRACT FOR: Volunteers, Club Members, Employees.
  12. POOR GUEST BEHAVIOR: Posted on HILL RULES at Ticket Window.

Uphill Policy

The term “Uphill travel” within this policy refers to “snowshoeing, snowboard hiking and the use of alpine touring equipment as a means of uphill travel to access terrain”.

Uphill travel is not permitted outside of operation day or hours. If you are going to be taking advantage of uphill travel during scheduled operating days and hours a ski ticket must be purchased. This is also mentioned in point 9 of the Hill Policy. Uphill traffic must begin descent by 3:45pm. Any violators will be subject to trespassing and appropriate measures will be taken.

Release of Liability

In consideration of the acceptance of the right to participate, entrants and participants of the execution of the pass, release and discharge Echo Valley Ski & Tubing Area, Lake Chelan Ski Club, Chelan Lions Club, Lions Club International and its officers, employees and anyone else connected to the management of this facility from any and all damages known and unknown, injuries, losses, judgments, and claims from any causes whatsoever that may be suffered by an entrant to his or her own person or property.

Injured Patron Plan

  1. If a Patron is injured nodify the Manager.
  2. If you are the lift operator stop the lift befor you leave your post to offer help to our patron.
  3. Do not stop where you obstruct a track or are not visible from above.
  4. If offering help to a patron you must introduce yourself as someone trained in first aid. If you are a current first aid card carrier, if not, wait for someone who is.
  5. Ask if you may assist them.
  6. Put on personal protective equipment, such as gloves, if necessary.
  7. Plan of action option based on assessment of injury.
    1. CALL 911 IF APPLICABLE -then either:
    2. Stabolize the injured patron, wait for an ambulance, or transfer off of hill with a sled.
    3. or take injured patron into first aid room.
    4. or take injured patron into the lodge.
    5. Find/Notify parent or guardian.
  8. Get an incident Reporting Form and fill in with injured person's name, address, phone number, date, details of what happened and snow conditions and what first aid was given.
